Global Warming Millions March To Congress

Now that Climate Change, also known as Global Warming, has been more or less accepted by many, particularly those in the more fortunate sector of our digital divide, and many local rallies for its cause with some success have been done all over the U. S., it is time that we bring our message loud and clear to our legislators to implement specific mandates by the people to slow down Climate Change. For a little over a year we will discuss and vote in this forum the many ways our national government could pass strong legislations to help continue our existence.

We will march to Washington, D.C. on September 11, 2008 to make our demands. This will be a perfect date for a march for many reasons: 1. it is just before the national presidential election, 2. it will commemorate the day that we all now know and the ensuing lies about invading another country, and 3. it is in the fall so we can hope cool weather just perfect with family, relatives and friends to walk around, mull and listen to prominent speakers in the capitol's mall. And we may be able to invite some musicians as we did in Extremely peaceful and enjoyable was our Millions March on beautiful Saturday, September 11, 2004!

This will be reminiscent of the ground swell march of Martin Luther King Jr. on August 28, 1963 or more recently our very own
(see above on September 11, 2004) which was highly instrumental in the change in our Congressional constituency making Bush a lame duck for target shooting!

Second only to fulfilling my ultimate passion, this political transformation culminates My Greatest Challenge

http://livinggracefully.com/Global_Warming/my_greatest_challenge.htm  which is also included on the left of the group's home page.

My first proposal to this group is for the U.S. to provide the leadership to create an international consortium to develop a productive Controlled Nuclear Fusion Reactor that will eventually replace most, if not all, of our Coal-fueled power plants the number one culprit in emitting the carbon dioxide choking our Mother Earth. This is a monumental undertaking much like the one that funded the International Space Station, although now possibly on a much grander scale comparable to landing a man on Mars. Note a no-brainer:  There will be no such landing anyway unless we continue our existence.
