Covering many topics in one agenda: Peace on earth; Preparation for Income tax savings; Investment.

First, a letter to a friend,

Fri, 4 Feb 2005

Xyz, how are you this New Year? You have been quiet for a while so I thought I'd say hello. I would rather have called you but I seem to have misplaced your number. Please include your numbers on you return mail.

I also would like to discuss with you many topics but the major ones are:

     1. My worry about Iraq, but most definitely about Iran;

     2. Bush agenda on Social Security.

Because of this I will be attending the Second National Assembly of United for Peace and Justice (UFPJ) on February 19-21, 2005 in St. Louis, MO and I would like to hear your sincere thoughts about the two items above, at least. If you desire to come, the pertinent information is posted in http://unitedforpeace.org/article.php?id=2678

As you may well know our group has grown to a size (375 members as of a few minutes ago), that in spite of the online guideline for membership and article submission Lori and I could hardly cope to hold the group to the discipline that we so enjoyed when it was a lot smaller. I have personally banned a few as much as I hate to do it. We both have put many under moderation. Many of those messages under controlled release, however, are actually very good, and some close to excellent. So it has been rather unfair to the contributor as well as to the group to have delayed their publication. In this regard, I am again asking for your kind indulgence, fully appreciating your editorial and writing expertise, to help us out.

Please say hello to your wife and children.

Applicable to everybody else living in the U.S. is an advice I recently wrote to my sister in California

Procedure for saving and investing for tax deduction purposes:

  1. Open an Individual Retirement Account with a brokerage firm that charges the least expensive commission. I am currently very satisfied with my broker, Scottrade (http://scottrade.com/) that charges only $7 per trade. You and your spouse can open one each independently. This allows you to combine your contributions for tax deduction purposes.
  2. I follow my own meticulously researched financial newsletter:

a.       one published free on a quarterly basis (http://livinggracefully.com/Financial%20newsletter%20January%2015.htm);

b.       Another more thoroughly researched a subscription only published monthly with continuous (24/7) alerts for exceptional activity which usually leads to unusual profitable opportunity. (http://livinggracefully.com/Financial%20Newsletter/Monthly%20Detailed%20Financial%20Newsletter%20Announcement%20041024.htm).

  1. You may contribute up to the IRS tax reporting deadline of April 15 the following year.
  2. You may then rollover, with no penalty, this account to another qualified plan: health savings account, educational trust fund, a Keogh plan, a pension trust, another IRA, etc. Refer to the IRS publications or your accountant.

For what it is worth, I am also providing you with a link to a nurse recruitment proposal communiqué that transpired in 2003 (http://livinggracefully.com/nurserecruitment.htm).

And lastly, my recent extremely satisfying foray in the investment arena, a short e-mail to a dear friend,

Wed Feb 2 2005

For your personal investing, and you are the first one to know, I added the following as reported in the January 15 Financial Newsletter: US 1 Industries, Inc. (USOO - http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=USOO&sid=0&o_symb=USOO&freq=1&time=7&x=45&y=16) and PENDER FINL GROUP CORP (PDFFF - http://charts3.barchart.com/chart.asp?sym=PDFFF&data=A&jav=adv&vol=Y&evnt=adv&grid=Y&code=BSTK&org=stk&fix=) to my account.

And today because of the unusual opportunity shown by the first stock above I disposed it at a profit much better and quicker (only exactly 15 days turnaround for an unbelievable annualized return of 1100%!) than Innexus Biotechnology IXSBF - http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/quote?ticker=ixsbf&x=9&y=10.

Now please do not misconstrue this as pure risk taking and speculation. On the contrary this is the result, as I have at least twice announced, of my return to "wise and learned investing.”
